Alignements de Kerzerho

The Kerzerho alignments in Erdeven, Morbihan, Brittany are the second most important megalithic site in France after Carnac. Dating to the Neolithic period (c. 5000-2000 BC), the site features approximately 190 granite menhirs arranged in ten or more rows over nearly 2 km. Several stones, known as the "giants of Erdeven," reach 6 meters in height and weigh about 40 tonnes. In 1884, Felix Gaillard counted 1,100 standing and 5,000 recumbent menhirs. Protected as a monument since 1862.
