Lebak Cibedug Temple

Lebak Cibedug is a terraced pyramid-shaped sacred megalithic site located on the bank of the Cibedug river near Citorek village in Banten Province at the western end of Java, Indonesia [1]. The site features nine terraces with megalithic menhirs (upright stone pillars) and dolmens (table-like stone structures) arranged across its terraces [1]. Archaeological evidence dates the site to approximately 3000-1500 BC, making it one of Indonesia's oldest known ritual landscapes [2]. The complex represents a significant prehistoric sacred space where ancient communities gathered for ceremonial purposes, with its pyramid-like terraced structure indicating sophisticated spatial organization for ritual activities [1].
