Komplek Megalith Tanjung Raja

Komplek Megalith Tanjung Raja is part of the vast Pasemah megalithic landscape in Lahat Regency, South Sumatra, Indonesia. The regency contains over 1,027 megalithic artifacts spread across 54 sites, earning a MURI record in 2012 for the most megalithic sites in Indonesia. The Pasemah megaliths, carved from monolithic andesite rocks, are notable for their dynamic sculptural style depicting humans interacting with animals such as elephants, snakes, and buffalo, reflecting ancestor spirit worship traditions. Some monuments date to the Late Neolithic era, roughly 2,000-3,000 years ago.
