Prambanan Temple

Prambanan is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, southern Java, Indonesia, dedicated to the Trimūrti—the Creator (Brahma), Preserver (Vishnu), and Destroyer (Shiva). Located approximately 17 kilometres northeast of Yogyakarta on the boundary between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces, it is the largest Hindu temple complex in Java, featuring tall, pointed towers and intricate stone carvings depicting Hindu epics.
