Situs Megalit Tebing Tinggi

The Tebing Tinggi megalithic site is located 25 km from Pagar Alam city centre, in Lubuk Buntak village, South Dempo sub-district of South Sumatra, Indonesia. The site contains diverse megalithic artifacts including human statues riding buffalo, figures entwined by snakes, stone mortars, dolmens, royal thrones, flat stones, and menhirs used to honour ancestral spirits. Part of the Pasemah highlands megalithic tradition dating approximately 2,000-3,000 years ago, it is considered the best-maintained megalithic site in the region and has been designated a city-level cultural heritage site.
