Situs Megalith Talang Kecepol

The Talang Kecepol Megalithic site is located near Pagar Alam City in South Sumatra, Indonesia, within the Pasemah highlands, a region renowned for its prehistoric megalithic culture. The site consists of several single-chamber megalithic tombs and dolmens. It is part of a broader complex of 22 megalithic areas identified by Dutch researcher Van der Hoop, featuring statues, stone mortars, dolmens, and menhirs carved from andesite rock approximately 3,000 years ago. The Pasemah megalithic tradition represents one of Indonesia's most impressive prehistoric stone-carving cultures.
