Kyaneai Büyük Sarnıç

Kyaneai is a fortified ancient Lycian city perched on a steep hill in southwestern Turkey, dating from the 5th century BC to the Roman period[1]. The site features diverse tomb architecture including rock-cut tombs, chamber tombs, and monumental sarcophagi adorned with Lycian inscriptions and decorative reliefs[1]. A Roman-era theatre crowns the hilltop, while the lower city contains Byzantine and Roman remains[1]. The settlement is partially enclosed by ancient defensive walls, leveraging the natural terrain for protection[1].
