Termessos Kurucu'nun Evi

The ruins of Termessos Kurucu'nun Evi (Founders House) represent a Roman-type villa complex dating to the 3rd century BC, located on the outskirts of the ancient city of Termessos in southwestern Turkey [1]. The structure's most remarkable feature is a 5-metre (16.4 ft) high front door that still stands nearly intact, showcasing impressive Roman-era construction techniques [1]. This residence dates to the Hellenistic period (500 BC – 1 AD) and exemplifies the architectural fusion between Greek and Roman building traditions common in ancient Anatolia [1]. The villa's substantial door height suggests it belonged to a wealthy or prominent family within the Termessos community, one of the major cities of Pisidia [1].
