Pisarissos Antik Kenti

Pisarissos is an ancient city in northwestern Alanya, Antalya Province, Turkey, situated on the hilltop of Gavurbeleni between Hacilar and Esen Tepe villages [1] [2] [3]. Dating to the Hellenistic and Roman periods, the city was surrounded by defensive walls of large stone blocks with a western gate [1]. The plateau contains remains of olive processing facilities, residential buildings, an agora, and burial structures [1] [4]. The city name derives from an inscription found among the ruins, and the remains are in poor condition [1] [2] [4].
