Rock Carvings at Tennes

Prehistoric rock art site in Balsfjord, Troms county, Norway, with figures dated from 4600 to 2600 BC. The site contains approximately 60 figures across three fields: Bukkhammaren, Grabergan, and Kirkely. The 40 figures at Kirkely include 13 porpoise and 14 moose or reindeer depictions. These were the first hunting culture rock carvings discovered in Scandinavia, first documented in 1799 by professor Martin Vahl. Accessible via a 2.5 km marked trail from Balsfjord Church, the site features pathways and lighting.
