The Treasure of Osztropataka (modern Ostrovany, northeastern Slovakia) is an East Germanic necropolis dating to the late 3rd century CE [1]. Discovered in 1790, the burial contained Germanic and Roman objects [1]. The find was likely associated with an influential Vandalic king from around 270-290 CE [1]. The primary collection is displayed at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, Austria, while additional items discovered in 1865 are held at the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest [1]. It ranks among the most significant early-historical discoveries from Slovakia [1].
