Key facts

• Reisner recorded G3a with three levels, G3b with four levels and G3c as a smooth-sided, completed pyramid.
• The video states that Reisner found no evidence of any tomb or original burial in any of the three structures and considered G3c a functional pyramid rather than a tomb.
• G3c's entrance carries a composite three-level step pyramid with a wide top, and Reisner noted T-shaped forms inside its layout.
• G3c has suffered heavy erosion and pillaging, with bedrock exposed at its base.
• Mark Lehner later found one of the three structures reused as a burial; Reisner concluded that reuse was not original and indicated a structure predating the dynastic period.
• The presenter interprets the three-level to four-level to smooth progression as a deliberate sequence rather than the result of erosion.
