Dhanyawadi

Dhanyawadi (1st–5th century AD) was the capital of the first Arakan Kingdom, located in present-day Northern Rakhine State, Myanmar [1]. The name derives from the Pali word Dhannavati, meaning "rice bowl" or "large area of rice cultivation" [1]. As the earliest Arakanese kingdom, Dhanyawadi served as a crucial trade hub connecting the East with the West [1]. The settlement lies approximately 290 km north-northeast of Sittwe [2].
