King Ezana's Stele

King Ezana's Stele is a 4th-century AD obelisk erected in the ancient city of Axum, Ethiopia[1]. Standing 21 meters (69 feet) tall, it is the largest unbroken stele in the Northern Stelae Park, which contains hundreds of smaller, less decorated monuments[1]. Likely the last stele erected in the Axumite period, it features a false door at its base and window-like apertures on all sides[1]. It is smaller than both the fallen 33-meter Great Stele and the famous 24-meter Obelisk of Axum[1].
