Teotihuacan's tunnel (c. 200 CE) extends over 100 meters toward the Temple of the Feathered Serpent, sealed nearly 1,800 years ago. Walls coated with powdered pyrite mimic a galaxy of stars. The floor holds offerings including seashells, jade, obsidian knives, rubber balls, ceramics, and animal skeletons. More than 50,000 artifacts have been recovered from the tunnel.
