In the late 1980s, Robert Bauval noticed the three Giza pyramids mirror the three belt stars of Orion. Two pyramids are equal size and aligned diagonally, while the smaller third pyramid is offset to the left — matching Orion's exact configuration. Internal shafts in the Great Pyramid point to Orion's Belt at the time of construction, and the pyramids' position relative to the Nile mirrors how Orion's Belt relates to the Milky Way. Professor Edwards at the British Museum confirmed the shaft alignments. Bauval published these findings in his 1994 bestseller 'The Orion Mystery.'
