LibyaAl-Khums (Khoms) is a Mediterranean port city in northern Libya [1]. Modern Al-Khums has an estimated population of around 202,000 people and was an administrative district center between 1983 and 1995 [1]. Archaeological evidence suggests Phoenician influence in the region dating to the first millennium BCE [2] [3].
