Al-Mnaykhrat

(Late 6th c. BC) Al-Mnaykhrat (or Mnechret) is a Greek rock-cut tomb in northeastern Libya's Cyrenaica region, approximately 2.15 metres in height, carved into a cliff on the west side of the Wadi Taybsillu southeast of modern Marj (ancient Barca)[1]. The tomb's prominent position on the hillside made it clearly visible across the surrounding plain, suggesting it was intended as a prestigious burial monument for a high-ranking individual, though no evidence exists regarding the occupant's identity[1].
