Aquincum

Aquincum was the capital of the Roman province of Pannonia Inferior and one of the largest cities in Roman Dacia-Moesia region [1]. Today the extensive ruins lie in northern Budapest, featuring the remains of an amphitheater, grand baths, a Mithraic temple, and sophisticated water management systems including aqueducts and lead pipelines [2]. The Aquincum Museum houses one of Hungary's most significant collections of Roman artifacts, including bronze sculptures, jewelry, pottery, and military equipment [3].
