Yarumela (El Chircal) is a Formative-period archaeological site in Honduras, occupied from 1000 BC to AD 250 by Proto-Lenca peoples [1][2]. At its peak during the Late Preclassic period, it served as a major Mesoamerican trade hub, exchanging precious commodities across the region [1]. The settlement contains over 60 structures, though only nine remain visible today [2].
