A roughly 22-inch vulture sculpture has been found in a death-related enclosure at Karahan Tepe, alongside a seated human figure, other animal statues and human bones. It is displayed at the Şanlıurfa Archaeological Museum. The video argues that the bird represents Deneb, the bright star in Cygnus, called Anjik in Armenian tradition, and served as a psychopomp guiding souls to the afterlife. It also compares the figure with the vulture imagery on Pillar 43 at Göbekli Tepe, interpreting that imagery as guarding the entrance to the sky world.
