Trench 1 revealed the lower end of a 4-meter-wide structure — likely a west wing or annex rather than the main residence. It boasts substantial walls, intact opus signinum flooring, painted plaster, and partition walls. Magnetometry detected nearby industrial burning, and the site's proximity to Pulford Brook fits a bath house nicely. An apsidal room adds to the villa-style character! 🛁
