Ramp theories fail to explain upper pyramid construction

While external spiral ramps face documented problems including traffic congestion and obstructed sightlines for precise alignment, researchers acknowledge we remain unable to conclusively determine the ramp model used for the Great Pyramid. The upper sections present particular challenges for all proposed ramp theories, and no definitive archaeological evidence of ramp structures has been confirmed on the Giza Plateau despite decades of excavation. However, recent research has proposed that ramps—if they existed—may have been built into the pyramid itself and covered up, potentially explaining the lack of external evidence. The ramp debate remains one of the most persistent engineering puzzles in Egyptology.
