A tuning fork-shaped fossil described in 2022 by Frankie Dunn may be the earliest known crown-group cnidarian, related to jellyfish. Each fork tip held a cup, likely anchoring an anemone-like polyp with tentacles. If confirmed, it's the oldest fossil from a modern animal phylum in the Ediacaran.
