Qoornoq

Qoornoq is an uninhabited fishing village in Sermersooq municipality, southwestern Greenland. Archaeological evidence shows the area was inhabited by Saqqaq culture (Paleo-Eskimo) peoples from around 2200 BC [1]. Excavations in 1952 revealed remains of both Norse farm buildings and ancient Inuit structures [1]. The site demonstrates over 3,000 years of continuous or recurring human habitation by diverse cultures [1].
