British Block Cairn

The British Block Cairn (Ed0p-1) is a pre-contact Indigenous site on the Suffield Block in Alberta, Canada[1]. Excavated in the summers of 1961 and 1962, the site dates to approximately 1400 CE[1]. The site features a large boulder cairn surrounded by a ring of stones and a human effigy figure[1]. The site was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1973 by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada[2][3].
