Baltic Sea Anomaly

Discovered in June 2011 by Swedish treasure hunters Peter Lindberg and Dennis Asberg of the OceanX team, the Baltic Sea anomaly is an underwater feature located on the seabed at the center of the Gulf of Bothnia in the northern Baltic Sea [1]. While treasure hunting, the team captured an indistinct sonar image of an object with unusual features [1]. The sonar reading prompted speculation that the object might be a UFO, but subsequent analysis determined the feature to be a glacial deposit [1][2].
