Mount Nemrut volcano near Lake Van had eruptions during the Pleistocene, with the last confirmed eruption in 1650 CE. The volcanic history in the region dates back to the Pleistocene era. However, claims about a specific eruption blocking the Miroat River, causing 80-100 feet of water level rise, and submerging ancient civilization ruins cannot be verified from available sources. No geological evidence is cited to support the flooding scenario or the pre-12,000 year old civilization claim.
