Dartmoor contains an astonishing megalithic complex: stone circles, standing stones, long rows, and cairns spanning the late Neolithic to Bronze Age (3000-1500 BC). Scorhill stone circle dates from roughly 2000–1500 BCE. Two previously unknown Neolithic stone circles (about 5,000 years old) were recently discovered in Dartmoor National Park. Many sites likely remain hidden in the heather!
