The wagon ruts, documented in a 2024 research study, provide a window into Austin life in the 1800s, likely from traffic coming to and from the mill. Rut widths range 90 to 110 mm (3.5 to 4.3"), with a gauge of 1530 mm to 1570 mm (60 to 62").
