At the Kalambo Falls site (not "Columbo Falls"), researchers found a 476,000-year-old wooden structure with carefully shaped, interlocking logs. This predates the earliest Homo sapiens fossils by over 100,000 years, and supposedly modern brain organization too. Building it required planning ahead, selecting and shaping materials, and carrying out sequences toward future goals. Intelligent behavior emerges far earlier than expected.
